Air Navigation - General & Radio Navigation
About the Course
Air Navigation covers how pilots determine their position, plan a route and keep track of a flight. It brings together direction, distance, time, wind, aircraft performance and the equipment used for navigation.
At IFA, we teach the subject through explanations and worked calculations. Students learn how to read charts, account for wind, calculate flight time and fuel requirements, and understand the information provided by navigation aids and instruments. Each topic builds towards understanding how a flight is planned and monitored.
The course follows the DGCA CPL Air Navigation syllabus and is suitable for students beginning the subject or preparing for another examination attempt. Chapter tests, doubt-solving sessions and individual mentoring help students work through the areas they find difficult.

What IFA Offers
Online and offline classes
Class notes for study and revision
A test after every chapter
Mock tests
Doubt-solving sessions
One-to-one mentoring
During doubt-solving sessions, students can revisit calculations and discuss where their method went wrong. One-to-one mentoring helps identify recurring difficulties and the topics that need more attention before the examination.
