About the Course
An airline assessment gives an applicant several ways to demonstrate readiness: how they interpret information, respond to a task, work with a group and explain their choices.
IFA's Psychometric, Group Discussion and Personal Interview preparation helps students work on these areas together. It is suitable for applicants who want focused preparation for the selection stages relevant to their chosen cadet programme.
What the Course Covers
Aptitude and Reasoning
Students work on numerical, verbal, logical and spatial reasoning, with attention to accuracy and understanding. Practice helps them distinguish between a knowledge gap, a misunderstanding of the task and an error caused by rushing.
Personality Assessment Awareness
Preparation explains how personality questionnaires differ from tests with a correct answer. Students reflect on their normal behaviour, preferences and response to responsibility. Honest self-awareness provides a sounder basis than trying to manufacture a personality for selection.
Attention and Multitasking Familiarisation
The course introduces the demands of tasks involving concentration, memory and competing information. Students learn to understand instructions before starting and recognise how their approach changes when the workload increases.
Group Discussion and Group Tasks
Preparation covers opening a relevant point, supporting an idea with a reason, listening without interrupting and helping a group make progress. It also addresses disagreement: acknowledging another view, testing its merits and explaining an alternative respectfully.
Personal and Competency-based Interviews
Students develop answers from their own education, work and life experiences. Mentoring explores motivation for flying, knowledge of the selected programme, responsibility, cooperation, setbacks and learning from feedback.
Clear, Natural Communication
Students work on giving a complete answer without losing its main point. Preparation includes responding to follow-up questions, clarifying an unfamiliar question and being open about the limits of their knowledge.
Assessment Format and Pattern
There is no single psychometric, GD or interview pattern used by every airline:
- CAA's IndiGo route publishes ADAPT assessment, a group task and interviews.
- Air India describes technical evaluation followed by group assessment and a panel interview.
- EFTA uses an admission process that includes recorded and one-to-one interviews, psychometric assessment and aptitude testing.
Preparation is therefore matched to the programme's published stages and the applicant's invitation. Group discussion is included where it forms part of that process; it is not presented as a universal airline requirement.
What IFA Offers
The course gives students a place to examine their approach as well as their answers. Mentoring helps them work on personal examples and the areas where they feel least confident.

Frequently Asked Questions
QWill I receive a personality profile to copy?
No. Preparation develops self-awareness and an understanding of the assessment. It does not teach applicants to misrepresent themselves.
QCan I prepare for more than one airline?
Yes. Core skills may overlap, but preparation should also address the distinct process and requirements of each chosen programme.
QAre these official airline tests?
IFA’s tests and mocks are preparation tools. Official assessments are conducted through the airline, academy or its appointed assessment provider.
QWill this course guarantee selection?
No. Selection depends on the applicant’s performance, eligibility and the recruiting organisation’s decisions.
