About the Programme

Qatar Airways' Cadet Pilot Programme forms part of its nationalisation pathway. Eligibility is restricted to Qatari nationals and applicants whose mother is a Qatari national. IFA's preparation for this programme is intended for applicants who meet that nationality condition and the airline's other entry requirements.

What the Course Covers

Academic and Reasoning Preparation

Lessons develop numerical accuracy, interpretation of information and the ability to work through a problem logically. Chapter tests help identify concepts that require revision before moving on to more demanding work.

English Communication

Students work on comprehension, listening and clear expression. Preparation helps them organise an answer, explain a point and respond thoughtfully when a question is put differently.

Pre-selection Assessment Readiness

Practice develops careful reading of instructions, concentration and management of time. The exact preparation focus is guided by the assessment information supplied to shortlisted applicants.

Personal Interview Preparation

Mentoring helps students discuss their educational background, interest in aviation and reasons for choosing Qatar Airways. Examples from study, family responsibilities, sport or work help make claims about discipline and teamwork concrete.

Commitment to Training

Students explore how they manage demanding goals, seek help and respond to setbacks. Preparation encourages a realistic understanding of what sustained professional training asks of them.

Qatar Airways does not publish a complete chapter syllabus for its pre-selection tests on the programme page. These are IFA preparation areas, aligned with the published stages and applicant instructions.

Selection Process and Assessment Pattern

After application and document review, shortlisted candidates complete pre-selection assessments. Successful candidates proceed to a personal interview with the airline's selection panel.

Selected applicants must complete further documentation, QCAA Class 1 medical and CID clearance requirements, and sign the scholarship agreement with their guarantor. The public page does not specify fixed test question counts or timings.

Who Is This Preparation For?

Eligible applicants meeting the nationality restriction above. Published conditions include being above 17 and below 27 at application, at least 70% overall in secondary school and a recent IELTS score of at least 4.5 overall, with no component below 4.0.
